Bio

Rob is a local product who attended Lake Brantley High School. As a pitcher in 1997, he earned All-State and All-American honors, was named the Central Florida High School Player of the Year, and won a state championship. He played baseball at Rollins where he earned 1st team All-Conference recognition in 2002. Upon graduation, he was hired as pitching coach at Rollins 2003-2006. He later attended UCF, where he earned his MBA and a Masters in sports business. Rob has been with the Florida League since its inception in 2004, and served as President from 2010-2017. He is currently the CEO of DS Sports Events and President of RussMatt Baseball, the largest collegiate spring break event in the country bringing in over 370 college teams annually. Rob lives in Longwood with his wife, Emily and sons, Reid and Graham.
